Being Canadian

hello everyone.  tomorrow is canada day!  this is the day that we celebrate canada's birthday.  now those who know me, know that im not canadian.  im still a uk citizen.  my parents are thinking of becoming canadian citizens but are leaving it up to me and my brother is we want to.  im thinking when im 18 i will apply to be a citizen.  i wont give up my british citizenship, so it will be a duel citizenship.  this will give me the freedom to live here or the uk anytime in my life.  
so about canada.  i love canada, its so big a vast, the mountains are beautiful.  the people are wonderful, friendly and caring.  we came here when i wuz almost 11 and fell in love with it.  canada is a free country, freedom in religion, faith, beliefs.  we have a prime minister who is a christian and is strong in his beliefs.  i love this country and im so thankful that we live here.  our flag is the maple leaf and the colours of red and white.  the leaf stands for healing of the nations and the red stands for the blood of christ and the white stands for the purity.  christians founded this country and we are having a revival.  because our country has many different people from many different nations, we have love for the world. 
i am thankful to live in this amazing country.

school is finished

im so thankful that im done all my finals now.  it wuz brutal writing them and honestly i hate them.   good bye grade 10 and hello summer... oh wait a minute where is summer?  it seems that summer tries to start then it just doesnt quite get there. 

we had our big youth service on sunday and some of us had to testify about the week we had with out going on the net.  i didnt get up and testify, because i did go on the net.  not too much but i did go on.  the youth service wuz really fun too.  after we had our annual bbq at the lake.  the day wuz warm but not hot and the water wuz freezing.  we played some games and had lots of food.  one of the games wuz boys against the girls on jumping in the lake.  i wuz up for that but omg it wuz cold.  you see the lake is fed by the golden ears mountains. i wuz told its a glacier lake.  all i know its bloody cold, even in the hottest part of summer it is cold. 

anyway its now summer holidays for the next 8 weeks and im happy about that.  in 2 weeks my family are heading to the uk for just over 3 weeks.  we will be there for the the start of the oympics.  i cant wait to see them. i wuz at the 2010 winter olympics.   my great grandparents went to the 1948 summer olympics which were held in london.  they saw a tennis match then.  i think my relatives have tickets to a badmonton match...not too exciting.  i really wanted to see the gymnastics so im sure i will be sat in front of the telly for that.

black out week

youth last night wuz awesomely amazing.  we played this game called black out.  its like hide n seek but the church wuz in darkness and a few people were it.  they had to find the rest.  we each had a glow bracelet and were not to remove it but we could cover it.  the "it" people had glow necklaces and flash lights.  it wuz so fun and freaky too running around the church in the dark.  
after that we had our worship and then our youth pastor spoke.  he wuz speaking on the social network how its such a big thing these days.  he wuz saying the problem with it is that we are not hanging out with our friends or talking to people in person.  many people are just shutting themselves aways from people because of this. so... he gave us a challenge... oh fun stuff.
starting tomorrow we have to avoid all of our social networks for one week.  we also have to minimize our texting. he wants us to meet with people, hang out, witness to people, minister to them, love them.  also he wants us to spend 30 mins a day reading the bible and praying.  we are to journal our days and what God is doing in our lives this week.
then next sunday  which is youth sunday we will be coming forward to give a testimony of our week.
this is going to be so hard for me...i have facebook, blog and 2 twitter accounts and i love to text.  i love going onto the net and doing stuff. 
back in the fall we had a challenge like this, but i wuz grounded off of facebook and i hadnt really gotten into twitter yet and i wuz new to blogging.  oh how things have changed in 10 months.  
well im up for the challenge, i just want to let everyone know that im fine and dandy and will try to see you all in person.

study study study sigh...

so school is kind of over for me.  but we do have finals next week.  for the last couple of days ive been reviewing and studying.  some subjects i know i will do fine in well others...
last night at bible study we did some worship and tyler wuz on drums.  ive seen him play a bit of drums when we are playing music but i have not seen him play drums  during worship before.  he did a really good job. he can play bass guitar too and is great at that. 
i wish it wuz warm so we could go up to the lake, our youth will be having their bbq party up there in a week so it better be nice.

my choices will be the right choices

i just want to talk about my choices in life.  right or wrong we do make our own choices.  God gave us the right to choose and what choices we make we have to live with the consequences be them good or bad.  
as everyone  who has been reading my blog knows i am a christian.  i made that choice on my own and im very thankful for that.  the other thing my blogging pals know that ive been dating tyler payne for 8 months now.
its bothers me when people at school the ones who im friends with talk to me about him.  they ask if hes a good kisser, how far have we gone, will we be going all the way.   i let them know first of all its none of their business and that i will save myself until marriage.  but im going to tell the truth here on my blog.
when tyler and me started to date we decided to sit down and talk about it first.  we both had gone thru a purity class at church and our youth leaders frown upon dating. they dont say that going on dates is a sin but they do say that the way kids are dating now a days it leads to sin.  
we both started off as friends but we really liked each other.  so we talked to our parents and our youth leader and said can we go out on dates but keep it pure?
so they said ok why dont you two discuss "rules" about your dates and make everything clear and open on paper.  so one night in oct.  we sat at my kitchen table with our bibles and we prayed and we wrote out our own "rules for us dating". 
we said we would not neglect our friends and we would hang out with our own friends as much as before.  we would go out on dates, like to movies, dinner, coffee and stuff.  we decided that we would hold off kissing...
we will be careful about hugging that it doesnt lead to anything else.  we will not do anything to temp the other about sex.  
our first date wuz a movie and dinner, it wuz so fun. we also have gone to 2 school dances and coffee.  those are our dates.  just for fun we still hang out as friends, bike riding, walking, going to each others house because we love to hang out and play music.  the only "kissing" we have done is give each other a kiss on the cheek and we wont go for the lips until we decide we want to and thats no ones business when we do.
the last 8 months have been  so fun, when we do go on dates we have a wonderful sweet time and it can be so romantic.  when we are just hanging out as friends we find we love to write songs together or just sing.  he wrote me a lovely song that made me cry.  but we do spend time apart.  at school we dont hang out much, im busy with my friends and hes off dong guy things, on the weekends we dont see each other every minute, but we do see each other every sunday.  i love hanging out with my friends and talking girl talk with them that doesnt involve me talking about tyler.  he hangs with his friends and does guy stuff what ever that is.  so when we do hang out its always good and fun.  after 8 months we have not even argued and not a fight.  
tyler is my second bf , over a year ago i wuz dating a guy and we hung out all the time and texted and talked on the phone, we were never apart.  guess what?  i wuz so sick of him after about 3 months and he wuz sick of me.  he started dating another girl the day before i dumped him.  so take the advice of my youth leaders peeps.  if your going to date, take it slowly and enjoy the ride.

End of the School Year

hello bloggers!

its the end of the school year, the end of grade 10 for me. its been a year of so many changes and lots of new starts in my life.  first of all this wuz my first year in public school, i use to go the christian school but changed over. 

it wuz my first time with a large role in a large production of a play.  this last year ive been in many performances with the orchestra at school and also with my drama class.  this year had lots of up and wondering things happen but it also had some downs too.

last wed june 6 we had our year end assembly.  the orchestra performed through out it and some other kids sang.  it wuz pretty fun.  they showed a film of the highlights of the school year.  i wuz in quite a few clips because of the things im involved in.  i wuz sitting there watching it and had tears in my eyes thinking about this amazing school year i had.  

so all thats left now is on monday i go and hand in my books and clean out my locker then study for all my finals.  then the end of the month i will go pick up my report card.  im sad its over i will miss those who are graduating and i will miss my friends through out the summer.  some friends i will see.  im looking forward to travel to england this summer to visit with family, my sister will be home from australia then and we will be hanging out lots in london for the oympics.  i will be also spending lots of time at the lake with my friends.
